Charles Aznavour in performance at The Beverly Theatre, in Beverly Hills, CA. I was so enchanted by his performance that I ran home, processed the film, and brought back two enlargements the following evening prior to the show; one as a gift for him, and one that I asked him to sign for me. He loved the shot, making special mention of his passion for black & white photography. He wrote: "To You Nancy - Bravo! Bravo again!"
Charles Aznavour is one of France's greatest performers and songwriters, taking his rightful place with Maurice Chevalier and Edith Piaf. In 1998, he was named "Entertainer of the Century" by CNN.
